This Committee prepares the MSBA Legislative Program,
which sets forth the Association’s positions on such
legislative issues as the regulation of the legal profession,
the administration of justice and the independence of the
judiciary, for consideration by the Board of Governors. It
reviews all bills fi led during the state legislative session,
recommends positions on bills of interest to the Association
and presents the Association’s positions on bills through
written and/or oral testimony during the session. The
Committee also assists in amending proposed legislation and
securing passage of bills supported by the MSBA. |
