REAL ESTATE MENTOR PROGRAM: |
The Maryland State Bar Association Real Property Section is again soliciting real estate attorneys to act as mentors to students at the University of Maryland and the University of Baltimore law schools. This is the third year of the Mentor Program and it has proven to be a success with the law students. The students at these schools have organized a real estate club and the students are interested in cultivating mentor relationships with attorneys in the real estate field. The expectation is that each mentor/mentee relationship is individual. The mentor should be willing to meet the student, and be intermittently available for telephone calls or e-mails with questions. It has been made clear to the students that these are not job opportunities and there are no expectations that this relationship will result in a job or contacts for a job. If you have acted as a mentor in the past and your mentee has graduated, please consider acting as a mentor again. This is a unique opportunity to influence the legal community of the future.
